Abundant wildlife frequent our property on an almost hourly basis.

The most prolific are the Mule Deer.  So named for their large ears.  Pictured here is a magnificant buck and doe that were within 4 feet of our front door.  This picture was taken standing on the front porch.

In addition to the deer, Elk also frequent this region.  They are much bigger in "real life" than most people imagine.

The Golden Eagle and Bald Eagle breed and nest in the near-by Gunnison and Uncompagre Rivers.  They are frequently seen flying overhead or feasting on a roadside deer kill.

I have personally seen a Golden Eagle and a coyote feasting on the same kill from my car while driving on a remote county road.
